About Me
Welcome to A Fresh Dille! I started this blog nearing the end of college in Boston as an outlet to talk about travels, good food, fashion, and fitness. A few years have passed since it’s creation and my interests in these areas have flourished. As a recent college graduate, with a major in writing, literature, and publishing focused on magazine writing, I still feel compelled to share my stories with the blogging community after a post-grad blogging hiatus. Multiple internships in New York City (my birthplace) led me in all sorts of directions. I have been continuously searching for the perfect career, but right now I am confident that I am following a great path, working with wardrobe and helping others create their vision for an audience.
As the daughter of a creative director and former stylist, I grew up with a real passion for style and the art of making clothes.
I would like to think I have always been a real foodie, demanding the richest dark chocolate flourless cakes at very early birthday parties. Entertaining and cooking for others is one of my favorite activities. Since sixteen, I have slowly made my way to an entirely plant-based diet that makes me feel best about my health and environment. Being a vegetarian has been a growing experience. Instead of feeling restricted, I am constantly trying new recipes and ingredients that I never have before.
My love of running emerged when running my first 10K at only 11 years old. I still strive to return to Boston one day to run the Marathon in my college town.
Travel is vital for my happiness. Growing up, my family and I moved across the country a few times and I often find myself antsy when in one place too long. Some of my favorite adventures have been around the Netherlands (where I studied abroad), Italy, and England (where my father is from).
Every day, I attempt to be more healthy and “green”. Of course, I still feel that I have much to learn concerning greening our earth and hope to continue making changes for the better and sharing them on this blog.
Feel free to ask any questions and comments are always appreciated!
ciao.

I love the look of yours – so fresh and clean!! Your plant-based diet is very inspiring too… I try to move towards it, but it can be so hard. Do you live in NYC now?
Not anymore unfortunately…I had to move to Michigan for work, but I hope to return in the next few years.
Hi…I just “blog-stalked” you after I read your comment at HTP (writing your college essays about XC) haha. I’ve also loved running since I was a kid, so I can totally relate.
I really like the clean layout of your blog. Looking forward to following your gluten-free challenge!

” Instead of feeling restricted, I am constantly trying new recipes and ingredients that I never have before.” That’s how I feel about being a vegetarian. I feel like it’s opened so many doors for me, and I’ve become to creative in the kitchen. It’s actually fun.. I guess if you enjoy cooking in the first place

Hi, Claire! I just found your blog and I’m loving it. I find it so awesome that you do wardrobe for film. I’m actually a film actress myself, though I do commercials and TV as well. My last project was filmed in Utah a couple years ago, but I’m home in Texas now so there hasn’t been a ton of work for me. Anyway, I look forward to reading more. Check out my blog sometime, if you like.

Greetings from one of your favorite places… the Netherlands! I’m a California girl, moved to Spain for grad school, met my Dutch man and relocated to Amsterdam this past October. I’m still adjusting here but the blogging community helps me stay connected to home. Just found your blog and love your photography style, especially your use of colors. I write a travel blog, mostly to document my experiences as an expat but have recently started to get more into photographing our food as I try all these new Dutch ingredients. Looking forward to seeing more!
Cheers,
Jeanelle
Hi.. i was wondering if you know a shop/brand who sells hats like the one from Rumi (fashiontoast) http://www.fashiontoast.com/2010/08/stockholm-summer-nights.html
I need it for this summer.. please let me know! You would be so thankful
love this blog
your emphasis on a “green,” healthy, trendy, and adventurous lifestyle is much like my own perspective on life. i’m excited to get to do some more exploring of the world in the next coming years and i look forward to keeping up with your website!
Hello, great day to you Claire. I came upon an image for granola bars that you have pictured on this page of your site http://afreshdille.wordpress.com/page/3/ It is the exact rendition of a bar that I make and am looking for an image for my upcoming book. Oddly enough I have never photographed my own and am now even too busy to make them, let alone take a photo of them… Would you be interested in a royalty free, stock photo usage of the bars. I also think it quite funny that they are a bar that you didn’t even enjoy
) Because I use spirulina in mine, they too turn out dark and green. A little less appealing to the eye, very, very tasty to the taste buds. Thanks Claire, I look forward to hearing from you. Kindest, Corinne
Hi,
Sorry, I’m in class and don’t have a whole lot of time to review your blog/site…just wanted to thank you for the 10 meg image files we needed for image optimizing practice in web design. (i’m hinting that you that you might want to optimize your images for quick viewing)
You’re smokin’, btw. It’s distracting.
I’d lose the personal photo or at least ugly-up a bit as if you just woke up… if you want men and lesbians to read your blog. Wait, nevermind….”just woke up” is sexy.
I’ll shut up now…the instructor is getting suspicious.
hope you’ve got a sense of humor.

Hey there! This may be very random but I found a link to your blog about your aunt Joy’s “Blue Field” farm. I’ve been searching for a website or contact information but I couldn’t find any. Anyway, do you know if she rents out her farm for events/parties? It is such a beautiful place and sounds like a wonderful spot to hold my daughter’s birthday party. Please pass along the message if you can! Thank you so much
